Privacy
This page explains, in plain language, what this website measures and what it does not.
What we collect
On our blog pages we record anonymous page events, so we can see which articles and which parts of an article are useful. For example: that a page was viewed, how far down the article someone scrolled, which section headings came into view, roughly how long the page was actively read, and which links or buttons were clicked.
With each event we also store the page address, the website you came from (only its domain name, such as google.com), any campaign tags in the link (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) and whether the screen was mobile or desktop sized.
What we do not collect
- We do not set cookies.
- We do not store any identifier on your device. Each page view gets a random number that exists only in memory while the page is open, and it is never saved.
- We do not store your IP address or your browser details.
- We do not use third-party analytics or advertising scripts.
Opting out
If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal, nothing is recorded. You can also open any page with ?notrack=1 at the end of the address. That saves one small setting on your device that tells this site not to record anything from that browser. It is the only thing this site ever stores on your device.
